Chapter 2

We had boys age 3,5-5 and father watching the video. Video was very exciting. At the end, children were slightly worried about Eik:

“Eik looked lonesome, he was all by himself in the deep forest. He also looked like he was a bit cold. But he wasn’t by himself, there were many animals like squirrel, badger and mole. They all were eating in their own nest holes. When they noticed Eik they got curious. They observed him and wondered who he was and why he was alone in the middle of the woods. Does he need a friend?  Does he need some help?”

Children were little sad that Eik lost his (walking / fightning) stick. They thought he need to have new one. They discovered that Eik could do a new and better one from the cones laying on the ground. Children also invent other things that Eik could do with cones, like built-up a tower. Children wondered that Eik didn’t have a helmet. One of the children knew that real vikings didn’t have horns in their helmets.

After discussion children made drawings:Eik's forttower
